Salami Cork Glue-Down Flooring

Salami brings a chunky, organic, raw appearance to a glue-down cork floor. Its block pattern carries an easy-to-work-with palette of oranges, browns, ambers, and hints of peach. Bright and fresh, the color scheme lightens any decor, opens up areas that feel dark or cramped, and makes high-traffic spots like a foyer or kitchen feel warm and inviting.
Each natural cork tile is 12 in x 24 in and 5/16 in (8 mm) thick, with square, straight-cut edges. No separate underlayment is required for this glue-down construction.
Underfoot, that solid cork build gives you the soft give of carpet with the easy maintenance of vinyl. Cork's cellular structure has real memory: set a heavy piece of furniture on it and it will dent, but within about 24 hours most of the dent recovers. It also insulates, keeping unwanted heat out in summer and warmth in the room in winter, which helps trim heating and cooling bills.
Glue Salami down over a clean, level subfloor or over at-or-above-grade concrete, then apply two coats of Loba 2K water-based polyurethane to lock in the finish. Rated Commercial class 32 and Domestic class 23, it is at home in kitchens, dining rooms, entryways, and light commercial spaces alike.
Why this floor
- Solid natural cork through the full 5/16 in (8 mm) thickness: cork wear surface, cork core, cork backing, so no separate underlayment is needed.

Important product note
Polyurethane is required after installation. Glue-down tiles must receive two coats of Loba 2K water-based polyurethane on site to complete the finish; this applies to kitchens, living areas, entryways, and commercial installations alike.

We bought Forna Salami cork tiles to use in our bathrooms, the hallway and foyer area. It’s beautiful and it works very nicely.
The floor is not that difficult to install, but we took a lot of time and effort to prepare the sub-floor. Once we finished the subfloor, the install did go pretty well.
This product holding up well in our foyer area without area rug. I have put 2 coats of water based polyurethane for protection.
