Hazel Cork Flooring

A 7/16 in (11 mm) Swiss-made cork plank that stays warm in winter, cool in summer, and quiet all year round.

Hazel is a floating cork plank built from 100% natural cork bark, harvested without ever felling a tree. A cork oak can live up to 200 years and be peeled roughly 20 times over its life, which makes this one of the most sustainable floors you can put in your home.

Each plank is a three-layer sandwich: a 1/8 in (3 mm) natural cork wear surface over a 1/4 in (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, finished underneath with a 3/64 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing. The planks join with a Uniclic click lock, so the whole floor floats without glue or nails.

Underfoot, cork's cell structure (roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimeter) does the work. It insulates against cold subfloors, cushions every step, and traps impact sound instead of bouncing it around the room. Bare feet in January stop being a problem.

The HotCoating surface protection with a water base polyurethane finish makes Hazel tough enough for commercial class 33 use, and everyday spills and stains wipe up with an all-purpose cleaner and water. No harsh chemicals needed.
