Gray Bamboo Cork Flooring

A soft taupe gray with hints of lilac, built as a full 1/2 in (12 mm) floating cork plank with a Uniclic click-lock joint. Gray flooring never went out of style, and Gray Bamboo shows why. The color reads as a soft taupe with lilac undertones and subtle veins of blue: light enough to work with pale, airy interiors, yet strong enough to anchor a room on its own. As the floor ages, the lilac undertones fade and the gray stain settles into a true, even tone. Like almost all cork floors, Gray Bamboo will change in direct sunlight, but here the change is subtle. The depth of color is not affected; only the soft pink and lilac undertones shift. That stability in sunlight is what makes the gray-toned cork colors so popular. Under the surface, each plank is a 1/2 in (12 mm) sandwich: a 1/8 in (3 mm) stained cork wear surface over a 1/4 in (6 mm) E1 class high density fiberboard core, with a 1/8 in (3 mm) cork underlay already attached. That construction is why the floor feels warm and quiet underfoot, insulating against both acoustic vibration and thermal swings, which can trim your heating and cooling bills. The resilient, low-slip surface is comfortable for seniors, children, and anyone with arthritis or joint pain, and it is rated for residential rooms as well as light commercial spaces. It is hypoallergenic, repels dust, hair, and other small particles, and gives you a healthier alternative to carpet.

Important product note

Because Gray Bamboo is a stained color product, polyurethane must be applied after installation. This on-site finishing step applies to stained cork floors in every room, including kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and entrance ways, as well as commercial installations.
