Solara Cork Glue-Down Flooring

Solid cork from top to bottom: a 1/4 in (6 mm) unfinished tile you seal, style, and refinish on your own terms.

Solara is a solid, homogeneous cork tile: 100% natural cork compressed through the entire thickness. There is no HDF core, no printed layer, and no veneer. The color and pattern run all the way through the tile, so the surface you see on day one is the same material you will be walking on decades later.

Each 12 in x 12 in (30.5 cm x 30.5 cm) tile arrives unfinished. You glue it down with Wakol D3540 cork adhesive, then seal it on site with three coats of Loba 2K Supra A.T. polyurethane. That site-applied finish is what makes this floor special: the sealed surface becomes waterproof, and because the cork is solid, the floor can be sanded and refinished later instead of replaced.

Underfoot, cork's natural elasticity cushions every step and eases strain on joints and muscles, while its cellular structure absorbs impact noise and holds warmth in winter and coolness in summer. Rated Domestic class 23 and Commercial class 32, Solara is at home in kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, entryways, and light commercial spaces, and it works on walls too.
