Golden Beach Cork Glue-Down Flooring

Warm golden sand underfoot: a classic agglomerated cork pattern, richer and deeper in a full 5/16 inch (8 mm) glue-down tile.

Picture a beach of fine golden sand, so soft it feels like walking on a cloud. Golden Beach was made to bring that feeling indoors. It takes one of the most loved agglomerated cork patterns and warms it up, drawing out the browns and tan shades for a richer, cozier floor.

Each tile is 5/16 in x 12 in x 24 in (8 x 305 x 610 mm) of solid natural cork, top to bottom. The square-edged, straight-cut design installs seamlessly, so the finished floor reads as one large continuous surface rather than a grid of tiles.

Because the full thickness is low-density, sound-absorbing cork, no separate underlayment is needed. Millions of air-filled cells in every cubic inch compress under pressure and spring back when it lifts, which is why cork feels cushioned underfoot, shrugs off impacts, and is almost impossible to dent. Those same cells make it a natural sound and thermal insulator: it holds warmth in the room in winter and keeps unwanted heat out in summer.

Cork is also a naturally healthy choice for busy homes. It is hypoallergenic, anti-microbial, and non-toxic, it repels dust and insects, resists mold, mildew, scuffs, and stains, and it is water resistant, which makes it a practical fit for kitchens and other moisture-prone rooms. Properly maintained, a cork floor can last for generations.

Important product note

Glue-down tiles are not a finish-and-forget product on installation day: after the tiles are glued down, the whole floor must receive two coats of Loba 2K water-based polyurethane. This on-site finishing requirement applies to all glued-down tiles, including kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms, entrance ways, and commercial spaces. Order the adhesive and polyurethane together with your flooring so the installation is not held up.
