Hazel Cork Glue-Down Flooring

A 1/4 in (6 mm) natural cork tile with an AC5 wear surface and an 18 dB sound rating, built for real commercial traffic.

Hazel is a traditional glue-down cork tile in a 23.6 in x 11.8 in (600 x 300 mm) format. The face is a genuine cork veneer, 0.7 mm to 0.8 mm thick, so every tile carries the natural grain and shade variation that only real cork gives you. A high resistance matte finish keeps the look understated rather than glossy.

The construction is simple and tough: the cork veneer is sealed under a HotCoating wear layer that tests at AC5 for abrasion, backed by a durability rating of commercial class 32 and domestic class 23. Square edges and a straight-cut profile let the tiles butt together into a smooth, continuous surface with no bevels to catch dirt.

Underfoot, this is cork doing what cork does best. The tile cuts impact sound transmission by 18 dB, adds 0.080 m² K/W of thermal resistance between you and a cold subfloor, and gives a resilient, low slip surface that is easier on knees, hips, and joints than hard flooring. It is a natural fit for kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and entryways, and it is rated for commercial spaces too.

Because it is glued down and only 1/4 in thick, Hazel keeps floor height low: useful in renovations where door clearances and transitions matter. It is approved for both floors and walls, so the same tile can run from the floor up a feature wall. Installation uses Wakol D3540 contact adhesive, and the floor is finished on site with two coats of Loba 2K polyurethane. Plan for 5% extra material for cuts.

• Healthy room air: no VOC emissions, made with formaldehyde-free adhesives, hypoallergenic, and naturally resistant to insects, mold, and mildew thanks to cork's anti-microbial properties.
• Thermal resistance of 0.080 m² K/W (EN 12524): warm underfoot in winter, and it helps keep unwanted heat out in summer.
• Dimensionally stable (under 0.10% per EN 434) with residual indentation of max. 0.25 mm (EN 433) and a Cfl s1 reaction-to-fire rating (EN ISO 9239-1).
