A dark, linear cork design on a full 7/16 in (11 mm) Swiss floating plank: warm underfoot, quiet by nature, and rated for commercial traffic. Linea Dark brings real cork to the darker end of the palette with a clean, linear look. The surface you see and walk on is 3 mm of natural cork, a purely natural material peeled from the bark of cork oak trees without felling a single one: the bark regrows, and one tree can be harvested about 20 times over a 200-year life. Under that surface sits an engineered three-layer plank: the 3 mm cork top layer over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core, with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing. The planks join with the Uniclic click-lock profile and float over your subfloor, no glue and no nails. Cork's cell structure, roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimeter, is what you feel every day. It insulates, keeping the floor at a comfortable temperature so bare feet do not hit a cold surface in winter. It also stays permanently elastic, softening footfalls, reducing impact sound, and going easier on ankles and joints than hard flooring. The surface is antimicrobial and appropriate for allergy sufferers, which makes it a practical pick for family rooms and offices alike. The HotCoating wear surface, finished with a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane, guards against spills of many kinds and earns this plank a class 33 commercial durability rating, backed by a 15-year residential and 5-year commercial warranty.
