The color and movement of a maple burl in a 1/2 inch (12 mm) floating cork plank: warm amber, deep honey, and a click-together floor you can walk on the day it goes down. Autumn Ripple takes its cue from maple burl: strong amber and deep honey tones that read rich and soothing rather than loud. Slight hints of sage and mimosa keep the palette neutral, while deep brown striations mixed with lighter, warmer shades of fawn give every plank real depth. It is one of the most popular cork colors we carry, with tens of thousands of square feet sold every year. That range of tone makes it a decorator's favorite. Autumn Ripple is dark enough to stand in for dark hardwoods, yet subtle and light enough to work as an everyday floor through living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms. Each plank is a true 1/2 inch (12 mm) sandwich: a 1/8 inch (3 mm) natural cork wear surface over a 1/4 inch (6 mm) E1 class high density fiberboard core, with a 1/8 inch (3 mm) cork underlay already attached. You feel the difference underfoot: resilient, warm, and quiet, with a low-slip surface that is kind to seniors, children, and anyone with arthritis or joint pain. Planks join with the Uniclic click-lock profile and float over the subfloor, so there is no glue and no waiting. The factory finish is a high resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane, and the boards are made with formaldehyde-free adhesives.
