Travertine Cork Flooring
The look of travertine stone with none of the chill: a 7/16 inch (11 mm) Swiss-engineered cork plank that stays warm, quiet, and comfortable underfoot. Travertine brings a soft, mineral-inspired pattern to a floor that behaves nothing like stone. Cork's cell structure (roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimeter) makes this plank naturally insulating, so the surface holds an even, comfortable temperature all year. Walk on it barefoot in January and your feet stay warm. Each plank is built in three layers: a 0.12 inch (3 mm) natural cork wear surface bonded to a 0.27 inch (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core, finished underneath with a 0.05 inch (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing that adds cushioning and quiets footfall. The HotCoating surface protection and Natural Shield water-based polyurethane finish guard against everyday spills and wear. Planks join with the Uniclic click-lock profile and float over the subfloor, no glue and no nails. Rated class 33 for commercial spaces and class 23 for homes, Travertine works anywhere from a busy retail floor to a bedroom, and it is approved for wall installation too.Why this floor
- Class 33 commercial and class 23 domestic durability rating, backed by a 15-year residential and 5-year commercial warranty.
- Three-layer construction: 0.12 inch (3 mm) cork top layer over a 0.27 inch (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core with a 0.05 inch (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing.
- HotCoating surface protection plus a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane finish that shrugs off spills of many kinds.
- Natural thermal insulation from roughly 40 million gas-filled cells per cubic centimeter: warm underfoot even in cold months.
- Cork's honeycomb cells absorb impact sound instead of reflecting it, so rooms sound noticeably softer than with hard-surface floors.
- Permanently elastic surface that is gentler on feet, ankles, and joints, and reduces the risk of falls.
- Genuinely sustainable: cork is harvested from the bark of cork oaks without felling a single tree, and one oak can give about 20 harvests over its 200-year life.
