Seaside Cork Flooring
A Swiss-made 7/16 in (11 mm) floating cork plank that clicks together without glue, stays warm under bare feet, and carries a commercial class 33 rating. Seaside is built in Switzerland to a premium three-layer recipe: a full 1/8 in (3 mm) natural cork wear surface bonded to a 1/4 in (6.8 mm) E1-grade moisture-resistant HDF core, with a 3/64 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing that acts as a built-in underlayment. At 7/16 in (11 mm) overall, it is a substantial plank with real mass underfoot. The surface is sealed with HotCoating protection and a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane finish. That proprietary treatment raises resistance to scuffs and scratches, improves slip resistance, and shrugs off spills of many kinds, which is why this floor is rated class 33 for commercial spaces, not just homes. What you notice living on it is the cork itself. Roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimeter make the surface thermally insulating, so barefoot walking stays comfortable even in winter. Those same honeycomb cells absorb impact sound instead of reflecting it, and the material stays permanently elastic, so it is gentler on feet, knees, and anything you drop. Square-edged planks with no bevel and a Uniclic click-lock profile float over the subfloor, and the same plank is approved for wall installation. Six planks per carton cover 18.08 sq ft (1.68 m2), and a 10 percent overage is recommended when ordering. Why this floor
- Genuine three-layer construction: 1/8 in (3 mm) cork wear layer over a 1/4 in (6.8 mm) E1-grade moisture-resistant HDF core, finished with a 3/64 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing that replaces a separate underlayment.
- HotCoating surface protection plus Natural Shield water-based polyurethane: rated commercial class 33 and domestic class 23, with added scuff, scratch, and slip resistance.
- Uniclic click-lock floating installation: no glue, no nails, and it can go on floors or walls.
- About 40 million cells per cubic centimeter give cork its high thermal insulation, so the floor holds a comfortable temperature year round.
- Impact sound reduction from cork's honeycomb cell structure, with permanent elasticity that reduces fatigue and the risk of falls and ankle injuries.
- A purely natural, sustainable material: bark is peeled without felling or harming the tree, and one cork oak can live 200 years and give around 20 harvests.
- Backed by a 15-year residential warranty (class 23) and a 5-year commercial warranty (class 33), with GreenGuard Gold, ECO, and formaldehyde emissions documentation available below.
