A 7/16 inch (11 mm) Swiss floating cork plank that keeps rooms warm, quiet, and comfortable in every season. Parcork is a premier floating floor built for spaces with cool or cold climates. Cork's honeycomb cell structure, roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimeter, captures and slowly releases heat, so the floor stays at a comfortable temperature all year. Walking barefoot in winter no longer means cold feet. Each plank is real cork through and through: a 1/8 inch (3 mm) natural cork wear surface over a 1/4 inch (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, finished underneath with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing that acts as a built-in sound underlay. Planks join with the Uniclic click-lock profile and float over the subfloor, no glue required. The HotCoating surface protection makes this floor genuinely hardwearing: it reaches Commercial class 33 and shrugs off spills of many kinds. At the same time, cork stays permanently elastic, gentler underfoot and reducing the risk of falls and ankle strain, while its honeycomb cells trap impact sound instead of bouncing it around the room. Cork is also a purely natural, earth-friendly material, peeled from the bark of cork oak trees without damaging or felling them: a single oak can live up to 200 years and give around 20 harvests. With an antimicrobial surface that suits allergy sufferers, Parcork fits a family room and a busy office equally well.
