Creme Royale Marble carries a soft white marble pattern across a 1/2 inch (12 mm) floating cork plank. White floors have overtaken gray as the color of choice, and this stained cork gives you that bright, light European look without the cold, hard feel of stone. Each plank is built in three layers: a 3 mm cork top layer over a 6 mm E1 class high density fiberboard core, with a 3 mm cork underlay already attached. The Uniclic click lock profile snaps together without glue or nails, so there are no excess labor costs. Floating installation makes this one of the easiest flooring options on the market for kitchens, great rooms, and living areas. Underfoot, the difference is immediate. Cork insulates against acoustic vibration and thermal swings: it keeps unwanted heat out in summer, holds warmth in the room in winter, and helps trim heating and cooling bills. The resilient, low slip surface is easy on joints, which makes it an excellent choice for seniors, children, and anyone with arthritis or joint pain. Because Creme Royale Marble is a stained colored product, a site-applied coat of polyurethane is required after installation. That site finish seals the seams, which is exactly what makes this floating floor suitable for kitchen use.
