Clara Chevron Cork Flooring

A chevron pattern in real cork: warm underfoot, 18 dB quieter, and rated for commercial class 33 traffic. Clara Chevron brings a classic chevron look to a floor made from natural cork, harvested from the bark of the cork oak without felling a single tree. The bark regrows, and a single oak can be peeled up to 20 times over a lifespan of up to 200 years, so the pattern you walk on every day comes from one of the most sustainable materials in flooring. Each 7/16 in (11 mm) plank is built in three layers: a 3 mm cork top layer over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, finished with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing. The surface is sealed with a HotCoating wear layer and a high resistant Natural Shield water base polyurethane finish, which is how this floor reaches AC5 abrasion resistance and a class 33 commercial rating. Underfoot, cork's honeycomb cell structure (roughly 40 million cells per cubic centimeter) makes the floor permanently elastic and thermally insulating. It stays at a comfortable temperature all year, so walking barefoot in winter no longer means cold feet, and the natural give is easy on ankles and joints. That same elasticity makes it a strong choice for a home gym as well as living areas. Installation is a floating click lock system: the patented Uniclic profile locks planks into tight, watertight joints with no glue and no open seams. It asks a little more of you during install (a 20 cm, about 8 in, taping block keeps the edges pristine), and rewards that effort with a secure, stable floor.

Important product note

The click system on this floor is an adapted Uniclic profile that exceeds European Standards and surpasses standard click versions: it locks watertight, eliminates open joints, and keeps the floor stable. The trade-off is a slightly more deliberate installation. Always tap planks together with a 20 cm (about 8 in) taping block rather than striking the plank edge directly, so the locking profile and edges stay undamaged and the floor keeps its pristine appearance.
