Terrazzo Cork Flooring

The speckled look of terrazzo stone with the warmth, quiet, and give of natural cork underfoot. Terrazzo is a stained cork floating floor that borrows its style from classic terrazzo: a light ground scattered with darker flecks of natural cork grain. Because the pattern comes from real cork rather than a printed image, every plank in the carton reads slightly differently, which is exactly what gives a terrazzo style floor its depth. Each plank is a full 25/64 in (10 mm) thick, built as a sandwich: a 1/8 in (3 mm) cork wear surface on top, a 1/4 in (6 mm) E1 class high density fiberboard core in the middle, and a 1/32 in (1 mm) cork underlay already attached underneath. The surface is sealed with a high resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane wear layer, and the planks join with the Uniclic click lock profile, so the floor floats with no glue and no nails. Underfoot it behaves like cork always does: warm in winter, cool in summer, and resilient enough to be easy on knees, hips, and joints. The low slip surface makes it a practical choice for seniors and children, and the cushioned spring takes the edge off long hours of standing. Rated for domestic class 23 and light commercial class 49 use, Terrazzo fits busy family rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and lighter duty commercial spaces such as offices or boutiques.
