Custom T-Molding – Special Order Item

Please note that this is a special order item and requires approximately 2 weeks for production. It will be shipped along with your complete order. Please be aware that due to its custom nature, this item is non-returnable and non-exchangeable.

Product Specifications:

• Thickness: This T-molding is manufactured to match the thickness of the flooring planks it’s paired with, ensuring a seamless look.
• Length: The length matches that of the flooring planks of the same color.
• Width: 1.5 inch
• Coating Application: A separate application of coating is required for both the floor and the T-molding.
• Intended Use: This T-molding is designed to bridge the gap between two rooms with the same elevated flooring. It is not suitable for use between carpet and cork flooring.
• Adhesive Thickness: Apply a 4mm thickness of adhesive. Avoid excessive adhesive application to prevent impeding the natural expansion and contraction of the two connected floors.

Installation Instructions:

To install the T-Molding, you will need the following tools: measuring tape, miter saw or power saw, construction adhesive, caulk gun, and a damp cleaning cloth.

Step 1: Begin by measuring the width of the doorway between the two floors and use a miter saw or power saw for a precise cut.

Step 2: Apply construction adhesive along the bottom of the gap between the two floors.

Step 3: Press the T-molding firmly into the gap, ensuring that the top of the molding aligns seamlessly with each floor, leaving no gaps. Do not glue the lips of the T-molding to the floor.

Step 4: Wipe away any excess adhesive with a damp cloth.

Step 5: Place a few heavy objects on top of the molding overnight, being careful not to create any tripping hazards.

Step 6: Apply Loba AT (additional step if applicable).
