Hamilton Cork Flooring
The look of softly aged hardwood on a 7/16 in (11 mm) Swiss-engineered cork plank, rated for commercial class 33 traffic and quiet underfoot at 18 dB impact sound reduction.
Hamilton is a light, cool-toned floor: layered grays, light beige and soft cream in a wood-grain cut that reproduces traditional hardwood boards with photographic accuracy. A slightly rough surface texture adds real depth, so the plank reads as aged wood to the eye and to the hand, while everything underneath is cork.
Each plank is built as a hybrid: a PVC-free, phthalate-free polypropylene design layer (the same polypropylene used to make children's toys) sealed under a HotCoating wear surface, over a 0.12 in (3 mm) cork top layer, a 0.27 in (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core, and a 0.05 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing. That construction is what lets a comfortable cork floor take a beating in entranceways, hallways and full commercial spaces.
Underfoot, cork's honeycomb cell structure (roughly 40 million cells per cubic centimeter) keeps the floor warm in winter and permanently elastic, easy on ankles and comfortable for long hours standing in a kitchen. At 7/16 in (11 mm) thick, Hamilton also works effectively over underfloor radiant heating.
Why this floor
- Rated commercial class 33 and domestic class 23 (EN 16511), with AC5 abrasion resistance: tough enough for storefronts, not just living rooms.
- 18 dB impact sound reduction (EN ISO 717-2) from the cork layers above and below the core.
- Patented Uniclic click system with watertight joints that exceed European standards, eliminating open seams; install with a 20 cm (8 in) tapping block to protect the edges.
- Warm all year: cork's cell structure (about 40 million cells per cm³) gives high thermal insulation, so barefoot winter mornings stop being cold.
- Design layer is PVC-free and phthalate-free polypropylene; emissions conform to AgBB, backed by GreenGuard Gold and formaldehyde test certificates.
- Compatible with underfloor radiant heating at its full 7/16 in (11 mm) thickness.
- 15 year residential and 5 year commercial warranty.

Important product note
Hamilton has two color lots. The original batch is a cooler gray that can read slightly greenish under the warmer lighting common in North American homes, so the formula was adjusted and the new batch leans toward a warmer gray tone. There is a noticeable difference between the two: the old batch (limited stock) keeps the slightly greener gray, while the new batch is the warmer gray. Please consider which hue you prefer when ordering.
