Please Note: Due to the intricate design of the Heveron pattern, we recommend ordering extra material to account for additional cuts and pattern alignment. This will help ensure full coverage.
Aurora Chevron Cork Flooring
A chevron statement floor with the quiet, warm, permanently elastic feel that only natural cork delivers. Aurora Chevron brings a tailored chevron pattern to a Swiss designed cork floating floor. The 7/16 in (11 mm) plank is built like a sandwich: a 0.12 in (3 mm) natural cork top layer sealed under a HotCoating wear layer, a 0.27 in (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, and a 0.05 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing that acts as a built-in underlay. Underfoot it feels unlike laminate or vinyl. Cork's honeycomb cell structure (roughly 40 million cells per cubic centimeter, each filled with an air-like gas) makes the floor permanently elastic and gentle on ankles, and it insulates so well that walking barefoot in winter no longer means cold feet. It is comfortable enough to earn a place in a home gym. The HotCoating surface protection rates AC5 for abrasion and carries commercial class 33 and domestic class 23 usage ratings, so the same plank works in a living room, a busy family room, or a commercial space. The patented Uniclic click profile locks watertight, and an 18 dB impact sound reduction keeps footsteps quiet for the rooms below. Installation is floating and glue free: planks click together over your subfloor, with a 20 cm (8 in) taping block used during installation to protect the edges and pull each joint fully tight. Why this floor
- Impact sound reduction of 18 dB (EN ISO 717-2) plus permanent elasticity from cork's honeycomb cell structure: quiet to live on and gentle to walk on.
- Rated commercial class 33 and domestic class 23 (EN 16511) with AC5 abrasion resistance: durability headroom well beyond typical residential needs.
- Watertight joints: the adapted Uniclic click system locks tighter than standard versions, eliminating open joints and improving wear resistance at the seams.
- Thermal insulation from approximately 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimeter: an optimal floor temperature all year long.
- Low emissions you can verify: GreenGuard Gold certified, emissions in conformity with AgBB, and an E1 grade HDF core (formaldehyde test report available below).
- Moisture resistant construction: E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core with a 24 hour swelling value under 8% (EN 317).
- Natural and sustainable: cork is harvested from the bark of the cork oak, no tree is felled, and each oak can be peeled up to 20 times over a lifespan of up to 200 years.
