Forna Natural Composite HOT COATING WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Warranty Declaration FORNA provides this warranty in addition to statutory rights, covering the structural integrity of our products including adhesion and surface finish, under normal residential and commercial use. This warranty does not cover damages from improper handling, excessive wear, mechanical impacts like dents, visual flaws such as discoloration or joint separations, or variability in color and texture between planks which are inherent characteristics of the material. It also excludes issues due to inadequate maintenance, chemical exposure, or moisture damage. This warranty applies only to first-choice products used indoors under typical conditions. FORNA’s general sales and business terms will apply.
Warranty Duration Forna Natural Composite HOT COATING comes with a 15-year warranty in residential environments (class 23) and a 5-year warranty in commercial settings (class 33), effective from the date of purchase. Depreciation for the replacement cost calculation, known as “New for Old,” is deducted at 8% per year for residential and 20% per year for commercial use during the warranty period.
Warranty Conditions Installation must adhere to the provided guidelines and be suitable for the allowed applications, including compatibility with underfloor heating as specified in the FORNA installation guide. Floors must be inspected for defects under daylight before installation, and maintenance should follow the provided care instructions. Normal wear of the surface coating, requiring periodic professional renewal, is not covered under this warranty. Damage from improper installation, maintenance, or renovation of the surface layer also falls outside the warranty scope.
Claim Process Claims must be submitted in writing to FORNA, accompanied by the original purchase invoice, which acts as the warranty certificate. Absence of this invoice voids the warranty claim. FORNA will determine the validity of claims within four weeks of receipt; failure to respond within this timeframe will result in claim denial. FORNA, or an authorized third party, reserves the right to inspect the installation site and perform necessary tests. Claimants must provide all requested documents and samples within two weeks of request, or the claim may be denied.
Scope of Warranty If a claim is validated, FORNA may repair or replace the defective floorboards with equivalent products from the current range as available. Replacements can be obtained free of charge at the original point of sale, excluding any additional costs such as dismantling, installation, or indirect damages. Recognition of a claim does not extend the warranty period. Warranty claims expire six months from the date of the written complaint submission to FORNA, but not beyond the end of the warranty term.
