Terminals and Businesses Delivery Information
Freight-terminal pickup lets you collect the order from a nearby carrier terminal. Confirm the terminal and pickup requirements before the order ships.
What is a terminal?
A terminal is the warehouse belonging to the shipping company where the shipping company transfers your shipment from our warehouse to their warehouse. Terminal staff unload and handle the shipment during this transfer.
You can pick up your order there after your order has arrived and unloaded at the terminal.
Why Pick It up my order in a terminal?
Most parties decide to utilize this terminal option for cost and time savings.
As opposed to requiring an additional service – like a tailgate and additional appointment from the shipping company to arrange for a residential delivery, utilizing a shipping company’s terminal dock can actually save you cash.
You can also save time. Rather than having to wait around for a delivery, you have more control over your shipment. Most terminals are open early morning, you can pick up your order before starting your day at work.
For a contractor these savings can come in handy, especially when you’re ordering cork flooring for your customers, but do not have a warehouse with a loading dock.
Business deliveries – To qualify for business delivery:

- A shipment can be delivered without notice. If the shipment needs an appointment before delivery, you need to include in your order an appointment request. Please order for an appointment delivery: https://www.icorkfloor.com/shop/appointment-delivery-fee/
- The delivery address must be a business address. The business address must in a business commercial area not a home-based business in a residential area.
Here’s what you should know for a Terminal pick up
Freight Terminal Shipment is sometimes called a “Hold for pick up at the terminal” shipment
We deliver your cork flooring order to a terminal and you go to the terminal to pick up your order.
How to place order with terminal pickup as the shipping method:
At checkout, select “Ship to a different address.” If you know the assigned terminal address, enter it as the shipping address. Otherwise, keep your home address and add an order note requesting terminal pickup; we will confirm the terminal before shipping.
To avoid any confusion and confirm your shipping preference, please add a note saying “I will pick up my order at a terminal” while placing your order. This ensures that the choice of terminal pickup is intentional and not made by mistake.
We will identify the closest terminal to your location. If the terminal is more than an hour’s drive from your home, we will reach out to confirm whether it’s still convenient for you. After your order is shipped, you will receive an email containing the tracking number and the terminal address, providing you with all the necessary details for your pickup.
