Nordic Oak from the Forna Natural Composite collection combines a natural linseed composite surface, waterproof Hydrowood core, and cork backing in a 3/8 in (9.5mm) click plank rated Class 23 residential and Class 33 commercial.
Nordic Oak Natural Composite Flooring
Forna Natural Composite on a waterproof core: a class 33 rated floor that stays quiet, warm, and colorfast. Nordic Oak brings a light, Scandinavian oak look to a material with real substance. The face is natural linseed composite surface, made mostly from renewable ingredients: linseed oil, pine resin, limestone, cork wood flour, and jute. It is a natural surface with UL GREENGUARD Gold certification for low emissions, so it supports healthier indoor air in your home or business. Each 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) plank is built in three layers: a 0.06 inch (1.5 mm) natural linseed composite top layer over a 0.27 inch (6.8 mm) waterproof Hydrowood core, finished underneath with a 0.05 inch (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing. That sandwich is why the floor swells less than 1 percent after 24 hours in water (EN 317) and still feels warmer and softer underfoot than tile or laminate. The natural linseed composite layer and pressed cork backing cut impact noise by roughly 18 dB, so footsteps and dropped items stay muted. A hardwearing polyurethane protection layer keeps the surface abrasion resistant under heavy use, and a lightfastness rating above 7 (ISO 105) means the color holds up even in sun-drenched rooms. Planks measure approximately 48.6 x 7.9 inches (1235 x 200 mm) and click together with a Uniclic locking profile: a floating installation with no glue and no nails. Rated commercial class 33 and domestic class 23, Nordic Oak fits busy households, offices, and retail spaces alike, and it is optimized for use over underfloor heating. Why this floor
