Forest Cork Flooring
A genuine wood surface on a cork-backed floating plank: Swiss engineering rated for commercial class 33 wear, with watertight Uniclic joints.
Forest is not a printed imitation of wood. Its surface is real wood, bonded to a moisture-inhibiting natural fiber board and finished with a real wood backing layer plus a built-in cork underlay. Every layer in this 3/8 in (9.7 mm) plank is a natural material, so the grain and character you see underfoot are authentic.
What sets it apart from traditional wood floors is the HotCoating protection over that veneer. It delivers a level of durability conventional wooden floors have not achieved, meeting the full requirements of usage class 33 and AC5. That is heavy commercial grade, which is why the same plank carries both a residential and a commercial warranty.
Upkeep stays simple for the life of the floor: no varnishing, no oiling, no sanding down. The high resistant Natural Shield water base polyurethane finish and square, bevel-free edges keep the surface easy to clean and the joints tight.
Underneath, the 0.05 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing is part of the plank itself, so the floor floats over your subfloor with cork's natural comfort built in rather than added as a separate underlay.
Why this floor
- Real three-layer natural construction: 0.04 in (1 mm) genuine wood top layer over a 0.27 in (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, with a 0.05 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing.
- HotCoating wear protection rated AC5, usage class 33 commercial and class 23 domestic: durability beyond what traditional wooden floors reach.
- Patented Uniclic click system with watertight joints: an adapted Unilin lock that exceeds European standards, eliminating open joints and keeping the floor stable.
- Fire classification Cfl-s1, making it suitable for both residential and commercial spaces.
- Light-fast surface with a light-fastness level of 7/8, so the design resists fading.
- Green Guard Gold certified, with ECO certification and a formaldehyde test report available.
- Backed by a 15 year residential warranty (class 23) and a 5 year commercial warranty (class 33).

My husband and I are installing this flooring together, and we are both very pleased with it. It’s easy to install throughout the whole house except the bathrooms. I wasn’t sure about it when I ordered it, but I am now very pleased with it. Everyone who has visited our home loves this flooring as well. I highly recommend it!

We recently had a Forest Real Wood Floor installed in our new house, and we adore it. We put down 12mm cork underlayment under the floor, and it looks and feels wonderful. It’s also simple to clean. Although I hired someone to put in the floor, my contractor said it was very simple. I’ve suggested these floors to everyone I know who is considering some renovation. It looks and feels like real hardwood, but it’s a lot simpler to maintain. Thank you so much!

My contractor installed Forest floors in our 600 square foot living room. I was searching for a long-lasting, durable hardwood with a warm, natural wood tone looking. This floor is exactly what I got. Floors are quiet and look great. We moved two months ago, and I have not observed any damage as a result of two children and two dogs.
