Warm sand-toned wood looks on a Swiss-engineered cork plank rated commercial class 33, with watertight Uniclic joints and an 18 dB quieter step. Sandstorm is the warmest color scheme in the Design Cork line: a silky blend of creams, beige, tan and the softest touch of toast, laid out as a faithful replica of natural wood grain full of grace and movement. A light surface texture keeps it from ever reading as flat. Depending on your decor, it can anchor a serene, restful room or bring a warm pop to a cool palette. Under the wood-look design layer, this is a true cork hybrid. The decorative surface is made from PVC-free, phthalate-free polypropylene finished with HotCoating protection, bonded over a 0.12 in (3 mm) cork layer, a 0.27 in (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture-resistant HDF core, and a 0.05 in (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing. The result is one of the strongest and toughest cork floors available, without giving up cork's comfort or eco balance. That comfort is built into the material itself. Cork's honeycomb cell structure (roughly 40 million cells per cubic centimeter) insulates against heat loss and impact sound, stays permanently elastic underfoot, and is gentle on ankles. Barefoot in winter no longer means cold feet, and the full 7/16 in (11 mm) build pairs well with underfloor radiant heating. Cork is also a purely natural, renewable material: it is peeled from the bark of the cork oak without damaging or felling the tree, and each oak can be harvested up to 20 times over a lifespan of up to 200 years. Sandstorm floats over the subfloor with a click-lock installation, in homes or in busy commercial spaces.

Important product note

The watertight Uniclic joints on this floor lock more tightly than standard click systems, so installation takes a little extra effort: tap the planks together with an 8 in (20 cm) taping block. This guarantees precision, prevents edge damage, and eliminates open joints for long-term stability.
