FORNA REALSTONE – WARRANTY CONDITIONSDeclaration of Warranty

Forna, as the manufacturer of Forna Realstone, provides this warranty in addition to all legal consumer rights. When used appropriately in normal residential or commercial environments, Forna guarantees the correctness of the product structure, including proper bonding and surface coating.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or inappropriate conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Excessive or unusual loads

  • Wear and tear outside normal use

  • Mechanical damage (dents, scratches, chips, edge damage)

  • Visual changes such as gaps, joint movement, or colour variation between planks

  • Damage resulting from improper cleaning, maintenance, or chemical exposure

  • Damage caused by moisture, standing water, or humidity fluctuations

Natural colour and pattern variations between planks are normal and are not considered a defect. The warranty applies only to first-quality Forna Realstone products installed indoors in areas compatible with their designated usage class.

Warranty Duration

Forna Realstone is covered for the following periods, starting from the original purchase date:

  • 10 years for residential installations (Class 23)

  • 5 years for commercial installations (Class 31)

A “new-for-old” depreciation deduction applies when a warranty claim is approved:

  • Residential: 10% reduction per year

  • Commercial: 20% reduction per year

Warranty Conditions

To maintain full warranty coverage, all of the following conditions must be met:

  1. Installation Requirements

    • Flooring must be installed according to the official Forna installation instructions.

    • Subfloors must be properly inspected for moisture as specified in the technical guide.

    • Instructions regarding installation over radiant heating must be followed.

    • All planks must be inspected in daylight before installation. Installed planks are considered accepted.

  2. Care & Maintenance Requirements

    • Cleaning and maintenance must follow Forna’s care guidelines.

    • The surface coating on Forna Realstone is a natural oil-based finish and will show normal wear with use.

    • Wear of the coating itself is not covered under warranty. When wear appears, the surface must be re-oiled or renewed professionally.

  3. Exclusions
    The warranty does not cover:

    • Improper installation or failure to follow instructions

    • Improper cleaning or maintenance

    • Damage from failure to maintain or renew the protective surface coating

    • Any labour costs associated with removal, reinstallation, or other incidental expenses

Submitting a Warranty Claim

All claims must be submitted in writing to Forna and must include:

  • The original purchase invoice (acts as the warranty certificate)

  • Photos, documentation, and/or samples as requested

If the original invoice cannot be provided, the warranty claim is automatically excluded.

After receiving a written claim, Forna will respond within four weeks confirming acceptance or rejection.
During this time, Forna or an authorized representative may inspect the installed flooring and perform any necessary testing. Requested documents or samples must be provided within two weeks, or the warranty claim will be void.

Extent of Warranty Coverage

If a warranty claim is approved, Forna will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the affected planks, or

  • Replace the affected planks with new planks from the same product line (or the closest available equivalent)

Replacement material will be supplied free of charge for pickup at the original place of purchase.
The warranty does not cover:

  • Labour for removal or reinstallation

  • Disposal fees

  • Delivery fees

  • Any secondary or consequential damages

The replacement of planks does not extend or reset the original warranty period.

All claims under this warranty expire six months after Forna receives the written complaint, but not before the end of the warranty period.
