Declaration of Warranty

Forna Real Leather Floating Flooring provides this warranty as an addition to your legal rights, under the following conditions:

In normal residential and commercial use, Forna guarantees the structural integrity of the product, including adhesion and surface coating. The warranty does not cover damages caused by improper handling, usage, or excessive loads, including wear and tear, mechanical damage (such as dents or scratches), visual changes (such as gaps or color variations), or material-related differences in color or texture between planks.

Additionally, the warranty excludes damages resulting from improper care, cleaning, maintenance, chemical exposure, or moisture. This warranty applies solely to first-choice products installed in indoor residential or commercial areas subject to normal use, as per Forna’s general sales and business terms.

Warranty Duration

The warranty period for Forna Real Leather Floating Flooring is as follows:

  • Residential Areas (Class 23): 15 years from the date of purchase.
  • Commercial Areas (Class 32): 5 years from the date of purchase.

Depreciation Deduction Policy (“New for Old”)
In case of a warranty claim, the following percentages will be deducted from the original price based on the time since purchase:

  • Residential Areas: 8% per year
  • Commercial Areas: 20% per year

Warranty Conditions

To qualify for warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:

  1. The flooring must be installed according to the provided installation instructions, including moisture testing of subfloors and guidelines for installation over underfloor heating.
  2. The flooring must be inspected in daylight for defects or damages prior to installation.
  3. Maintenance and cleaning must follow the care instructions provided with the product.
  4. The surface coating acts as a protective layer for the decor wear layer and is subject to normal wear and tear, which is not covered by the warranty. Any wear and tear must be professionally refinished in a timely manner by a specialized company.
  5. The warranty does not cover damages resulting from improper installation, maintenance, or refinishing of the surface coating.

Claim Notification

All warranty claims must be submitted to Forna in writing, accompanied by the original purchase invoice from the dealer/distributor, which serves as the warranty certificate. Claims without the original invoice will not be accepted.

Upon receiving a claim, Forna will determine within four weeks whether it is valid. During this time, Forna or its authorized representatives may inspect the installation site and perform tests to verify the claim. The claimant must provide all necessary documents and samples within two weeks of a request. Failure to comply may result in the rejection of the warranty claim.

Extent of Warranty

If a claim is accepted, Forna will, at its discretion, either repair the faulty floorboards or replace them with boards from the same product range, subject to availability. Replacement boards will be provided free of charge at the original point of sale.

This warranty does not cover additional costs such as dismantling, disposal, installation, or any indirect damages. Furthermore, the warranty period is not extended by a recognized claim.
