Quadro Cork Flooring

A full 7/16 in (11 mm) Swiss floating plank with 3 mm of real cork underfoot, built to keep rooms warm, quiet, and comfortable all year round.

Quadro is a three-layer floating plank made from real cork bark. A 3 mm natural cork top layer sits over a 0.27 in (6.8 mm) E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, with a 1.2 mm agglomerated cork backing already attached underneath. Together they add up to a substantial 7/16 in (11 mm) floor that feels solid and cushioned at the same time.

Cork's cell structure is what makes it special: roughly 40 million air-filled cells per cubic centimeter act as natural insulation. That means an optimal floor temperature in cool and cold climates, so walking barefoot in winter no longer means cold feet. The same honeycomb structure absorbs impact sound instead of bouncing it back, and stays permanently elastic, which is gentler on feet, ankles, and joints.

The surface is finished with HotCoating protection and a high resistant Natural Shield water based polyurethane. It resists spills of many kinds and is hardwearing enough to earn Commercial class 33, so Quadro is at home in a busy family room, a home office, or a commercial space. The antimicrobial cork surface also makes it a sound choice for allergy sufferers.

Planks click together with the Uniclic locking profile for a floating installation, with square edges and no bevel for a clean, continuous look. Cork is harvested by peeling the bark of the cork oak: no tree is felled, and one oak can be harvested about 20 times over a lifespan of up to 200 years.
