Chestnut Leather Flooring

Genuine Swiss-made leather planks in a rich chestnut tone: the warmth of leather underfoot with a click-lock floating install.

Chestnut is real leather flooring, crafted in Switzerland from 100% natural, chrome-free recycled leather. The deep chestnut color carries authentic grain texture, with subtle creases and organic character, so no two planks read exactly alike. It brings the look of a fine leather good to an entire room.

Each 3/8 in (9.5 mm) plank is built in three layers: a genuine bonded leather surface over a 6.8 mm E1 grade moisture resistant HDF core, finished underneath with 1.2 mm of agglomerated cork. The leather is sealed with a HotCoating wear layer in a high resistance matte finish, so the surface stands up to scratches, chemicals, and stains while keeping its natural look.

Chestnut has a leather surface and cork backing. Listed impact-sound improvement: 17 dB. Listed traffic ratings: Commercial class 32 and Domestic class 23. Check the installation and care instructions for the intended room.

The leather fibers are ethically sourced from remnants of the European tanning industry, a regenerative approach that minimizes waste. Uniclic click-lock joints mean the floor floats into place with no glue and no nails.

Can I install this over radiant (underfloor) heating?
Yes. Chestnut is compatible with underfloor heating systems, and its low thermal resistance of 0.088 m² K/W lets warmth pass through efficiently.
How does real leather flooring handle spills, kitchens, and busy areas?
The HotCoating wear layer resists scratches, chemicals, and stains (no surface damage under EN 438-2:2016 testing), and the E1 grade HDF core is moisture resistant with less than 8% thickness swelling over 24 hours. Rated class 32 commercial and class 23 residential, it is suited to high-traffic spaces such as kitchens, bars, and hotel lobbies.
Is it a good fit for a home office with a rolling chair?
Yes. It is rated suitable for Type W chair casters (EN 425), shows no visible damage from furniture leg shift (EN 424), and residual impressions max out at 0.1 mm (EN 433).
How is it installed?
