Ashen Chestnut Cork Flooring

A cool, ash-toned chestnut plank with a watertight Uniclic click system, built to a commercial class 33 rating and quiet underfoot at 18 dB impact sound reduction.

Ashen Chestnut takes the familiar warmth of chestnut wood and mutes it with a soft, ashen gray cast, giving you a calm, contemporary floor that pairs as easily with modern interiors as with traditional rooms. It is a full 7/16 in. (11 mm) floating plank made from natural cork, harvested from the bark of the cork oak without damaging or felling a single tree.

The construction is a three-layer sandwich: a 0.12 in. (3 mm) natural cork top layer over a 0.27 in. (6.8 mm) E1-grade moisture-resistant HDF core, finished underneath with a 0.05 in. (1.2 mm) agglomerated cork backing. The surface is sealed with HotCoating protection and a high-resistance Natural Shield water-based polyurethane finish, which is how this floor earns class 33 for commercial spaces and class 23 for homes.

Underfoot, cork's honeycomb cell structure (roughly 40 million cells per cubic centimeter) does two things at once: it insulates, so the floor stays comfortable year-round and winter mornings barefoot no longer mean cold feet, and it stays permanently elastic, cushioning every step and going easy on your ankles.

The click joint is the quiet standout. The patented Uniclic profile locks planks into a highly secure, watertight joint that surpasses standard click versions, eliminating open seams and adding stability. You install it floating, no glue and no nails, using an 8 in. (20 cm) taping block to protect the plank edges.

Important product note

This floor uses an adapted Uniclic click system that locks watertight and exceeds European standards, surpassing standard click versions by eliminating open joints and improving stability and wear resistance. The trade-off is a snugger fit during installation: use an 8 in. (20 cm) taping block to tap planks together. It takes a little extra effort but guarantees precision, prevents edge damage, and keeps the floor looking pristine.
