Even though it is taupe, Taupe Leather 11mm cork floating floor ranks as a grey flooring. It should be considered a special color. Beige-grey is known as greige and Taupe Leather screams out greige. The Leather background pattern is mostly obscured by the opacity of the taupe stain. Subtle movement shows throughout the floor offering nuances of color. Grey floors have their own undertones and Taupe Leather’s tones will read green rather than pink or orange. This grey floor is a very particular fit for a very particular home. When it works it is fabulous! Because Taupe Leather stain has high solids it has relatively good fade resistance in direct sunlight. Where most cork floors can loose as much as 90% of their color in sunlight, Taupe Leather shows only a small amount of change – even in direct sunlight. This makes Taupe Leather an excellent choice in areas with strong sunlight.
