White Bamboo brings the look people chase in whitewashed beach houses without the cold, hard feel of porcelain tile. The bamboo pattern runs through a clean white finish touched with hints of blue and gray, giving the floor movement and a relaxed, beachy character instead of a flat, sterile white.

It is one of the best whites this line has produced in recent years. Use it to lighten up a dark little cottage, open up a small room, or set the pale, airy foundation a transitional home needs. Because the surface is cork, all that brightness comes with a floor that is warm, soft, and quiet underfoot.

Each 1/2 in (12 mm) plank is a full cork sandwich: a 1/8 in (3 mm) cork wear surface over a 1/4 in (6 mm) E1 class high density fiberboard core, with a 1/8 in (3 mm) cork underlay already attached. The planks click together with the Uniclic profile and float over the subfloor, a straightforward glue-free installation. The result is a floor that insulates against both sound and temperature swings: it keeps impact noise from traveling to the room below, holds warmth in the room in winter, and keeps unwanted heat out in summer, which can trim heating and cooling bills. The resilient, low-slip surface is comfortable for seniors, children, and anyone with arthritis or joint pain.

Important product note

White Bamboo is a stained color product, so polyurethane is required after installation. Most areas, including kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms, entryways, and commercial spaces, call for two coats; bedrooms need one coat. This white finish is also offered as a 6 mm glue-down tile, and glue-down tiles likewise require two coats after installation.
